Last February I published an article about Alibaba Cloud EDS, detailing how to install and use the software from Alibaba Cloud to make use of this VDI solution.

This week, after more than 10 months in public Beta, the EDS (Elastic Desktop Service) has started its International rollout, and is now available for production workloads in the following regions:

• Hong Kong
• Japan
• Singapore
• Australia

This sets a new hit of the VDI solution of Alibaba, as it proved to overcome the technical difficulties explained in the article I published last time, where the creation of the virtual desktop machines were failing due to some networking issues.

In Alibaba Cloud words, EDS provides a cloud desktop service that is secure, efficient, and easy to use. You can use EDS to quickly create and manage cloud desktops and build a secure and flexible office system.
